Ex-Man Utd star Fletcher feeling best he has in five years for Scotland

Darren Fletcher says he is feeling the best he has in a Scotland shirt for about five years.

?The West Bromwich Albion midfielder has had his career interrupted recently with a chronic bowel problem which ravaged him during his latter years at Manchester United.

?Captain Fletcher, who has been revitalised at Albion, played a full 90 minutes for the Scots in their 1-0 friendly win over Northern Ireland at Hamden Park on Wednesday night and insists he has a good vibe going into the Group D Euro2016 qualifier against Gibraltar at the same venue on Sunday.

?"It's been a long time since I felt this good playing for Scotland. You're probably going back four or five years," said Fletcher.

"But there's more to come. I feel stronger with every 90 minutes.

"Qualifying for a tournament has always been the goal and it still is.

"It's an exciting time. We're in a great position in the group but the hard work is still to come."

?Scotland sit third on the group table with seven points from four fixtures and a win over Gibraltar would see them consolidate in the top three behind Poland and Germany won meet Republic of Ireland and Georgia respectively.?
