David Beckham says he owes Sir Alex Ferguson so much for helping him forge such a brilliant playing career. The 36-year old LA Galaxy star joined Manchester United in 1991 as a 16-year old and went on to make close to 300 appearances for the club, including six Premier League titles, two FA Cups and one Champions League trophy.
Beckham, who went on to play with Real Madrid and AC Milan (on loan), told media after he captained the MLS All-Stars to a 4-0 loss to United that Ferguson is the man who helped him get where is today.
"I wouldn't be in the situation I am today if it wasn't for [Ferguson]," Beckham said.
"I owe him a lot. There's no other team like [Manchester United] in the world."
