Roy Keane admits it is a great honour to be chosen as Martin O'Neill's assistant for the Republic of Ireland national team.
O'Neill will officially be unveiled as Giovanni Trapattoni's successor on the weekend and will appoint Keane as his right hand man which has thrilled the former Manchester United captain.
"[It's] fantastic news. I'm delighted, honoured that Martin asked me to help him with the team," said Keane.
"[I'm] very excited and I'm looking forward to working with the players and trying to get them to the Euros (in 2016)."
