Former Manchester United assistant Carlos Queiroz could become the next New York Red Bulls coach. Soccer By Ives reports that the current Portuguese boss may return to the club he led back in 1996 when they were the MetroStars.

With Portugal's World Cup position looking borderline, Queiroz could soon be out of a job and sources say they have seen him in New York recently, looking to purchase a place.

The 56-year old also reportedly took a tour of the new Red Bull Arena and was the club's 1-1 draw with New England Revolution on Friday night.
