Manchester United No2 Mike Phelan admits he's keen on a manager's job.

The 50-year-old has worked behind the scenes at Manchester United, Norwich and Stockport and not many have had the opportunity to learn first-hand from Sir Alex Ferguson.

Phelan said: "At the moment I'm getting around, watching games, doing bit of TV and media. For now that's half decent.

"I'm enjoying the time out because I haven't had it for last 18 or 20 yrs. But I'm looking to get back into the game, I've been in long enough to know about it. I want to try my luck now."
