Ex-Man Utd, Newcastle winger Gillespie set to hang up boots

Former Manchester United and Newcastle United winger Keith Gillespie says he's likely to hang up the boots at the end of the season.

Gillespie is now playing in his native Northern Ireland for Longford Town.

He told the Irish Sun: "It's going to be difficult once I hang the boots up for good, but it's just a case of getting used to not playing - that will be the hardest thing."

Yet the Northern Ireland man has no plans to abandon football altogether.

He added: "I've done my UEFA 'B' coaching licence. It's something I'd like to finish. I've done part of the 'A' one but not finished it. It's something I'd like to have, so were something to happen I could stay in football."
