Park Ji-sung's proposed return to the South Korean national team for the 2014 World Cup is highly unlikely according to his father.
The 32-year old QPR midfielder, who is currently on loan at Dutch giants PSV Eindhoven, was being heavily linked with an international comeback for this year's FIFA tournament in Brazil.
Taeguk Warriors manager Hong Myung-bo recently stated that he had plans to try and lure the former Manchester United star back to the national team but Park's father, Park Sung-jong, says his son will forego any potential invitation in order to hold a charity game in Southeast Asia prior to the World Cup.
"This is something he had planned to do all along," Park Snr told Korea's Yonhap News.
"He is executing plans that he had made when he retired from international play three years ago."
Park retired from international football in 2011 after making 100 appearances for South Korea.
