Former Manchester United midfielder Quinton Fortune has signed with Doncaster Rovers.

Sean O'Driscoll offered the former South Africa international the chance to impress during a trial spell and he has done enough to secure a deal.

The 32-year-old comes into contention for the opening game of the new Championship season against Watford at Vicarage Road on Saturday.

The former Atletico Madrid and Mallorca man spent seven years at Old Trafford, making 76 appearances for Sir Alex Ferguson's side.

An unsuccessful spell with Bolton followed and Fortune has most recently been plying his trade with Belgian outfit Tubize.
