Former Manchester United youth chief Brian McClair was disappointed with Danny Welbeck's dive in Arsenal's victory over AC Milan.
The Gunners striker went down under minimal contact in the Europa League clash on Thursday night, winning his side - who were trailing at the time - a penalty.
Welbeck then stepped up to the plate and converted the spot-kick, killing Milan's momentum and sending Arsenal on their way to a 3-1 win.
Among those disappointed with his actions was his former mentor at Manchester United, McClair, who took to Twitter to have his say.
"Wenger appears to be right about English players when he declared recently that they are the 'new masters of diving'," he wrote.
Adding: "Disappointed in Danny." He concluded the tweet with a crying face emoji.
