Nemanja Vidic's departure from Manchester United is down to the change of manager.

That's according to ex-United defender Paul Parker, who reckons the Serbian star would have extended his deal rather than quit in the summer.

He told the Daily Star Sunday: "Vidic will be missed.

"He'd have stayed, had Sir Alex Ferguson still been there."
