Former Manchester United winger Memphis Depay says he wants to play at Real Madrid one day.

The Dutchman arrived at United from PSV Eindhoven with much hype, but he failed to impress at Old Trafford and was sold to Lyon in January.

Despite his failings in England, Depay remains confident that he can go on to be successful at another of the world's biggest clubs.

"I think I'm going to Real Madrid. Yes, that's a serious goal," he told The PSV Supporter magazine.

"What's happened so far, that's God, he helps me and brings me here.

"I had very nice times at PSV, but I wanted to reach higher goals in my career. At Lyon I'm very happy. The club is in a way comparable to PSV."
