Former Manchester United defender Paul Parker insists they're nailed on for Champions League qualification next season.
Parker says last season will only prove a blip.
"United will qualify for the Champions League," he insisted to manutd.com. "People keep telling me they could do a Liverpool but, although that's happened before at the club [throughout the 1970s and 1980s], it won't happen anymore. Football has changed and it won't happen to this kind of club anymore. People have learned from the past.
"It was Liverpool's best chance to win it - without a doubt. It was very pro-Liverpool here in Singapore so I was dreading it. Liverpool were virtually the only side in Europe in the 1980s and kids have inherited it from their parents. It would have been a nightmare for me if they'd won it!"
