Former Manchester United defender Kevin Moran says Brendan Rodgers deserves full credit for Liverpool's revival.
Moran wrote in the Sunday World: "This is more like it from Liverpool. Now they are playing in the manner we expected of them after last season's title challenge.
"It's too late to win it all now, but next Tuesday's Premier League Anfield clash with Spurs is a vital one in determining whether Liverpool get back into the Champions League - or whether Spurs beat them to that valuable prize.
"You have to give a lot of credit to Liverpool manager Brendan Rodgers for sticking with his beliefs in the way the game should be played over the last few months. But it wasn't just about staying loyal to what he believes in.
"The Antrim man and his coaching staff clearly got stuck in on the training ground and worked on a Liverpool defence that was leaking like a sieve in the early part of the season. The reward is just one goal conceded from play in their last seven matches."
