Former Manchester United and Everton utility Phil Neville is being linked with a coaching post at Valencia.
The Sunday Mirror says Ian Cathro has resigned from his post at the La Liga outfit, where he was assistant to Nuno Espirito Santo, and is now set to join Steve McClaren's backroom team at Newcastle.
On the back of that news, Neville is a shock name in the frame to become part of a new-look coaching staff at the Mestalla Stadium.
Valencia are owned by Peter Lim, the Singapore businessman who also has a stake in semi-professional side Salford City.
And that relationship has helped former Manchester United star Neville - who was part of a Salford takeover in 2014 along with brother Gary, Ryan Giggs, Nicky Butt and Paul Scholes - emerge as a candidate for a job in Spain.
