Former Manchester United coach Rene Meulensteen is happy to seeing Ryan Giggs get his chance as manager.
Meulensteen, who was sacked as Fulham boss in February after 17 games in charge, is convinced the Old Trafford icon can be a top manager in the future.
He said: "It's an important call for the club. First of all it was very difficult to part ways with David Moyes but more important is what they're going to decide now for the future.
"This is the right decision for sure to keep Ryan in place. He knows Manchester United inside out. He's been part of United for so many years.
"Yes, people would say that he doesn't have any managerial experience as yet, but I strongly believe that Ryan has all the capabilities, maybe not now but in the future to become a very good manager.
"It's important that he surrounds himself with the right people and he could be a success."
