Former Manchester United assistant boss Rene Meulensteen is being linked with Crystal Palace job.
The Mirror says the Dutch coach is highly regarded in footballing circles and has been recommended to key decision-makers at the South London club as the perfect coach to work in a two-tiered management structure.
Meulensteen could use a clause in his new contract with the Qatari FA that allows him to leave his post for a pre-determined compensation payment.
