Former Manchester United chief David Gill has turned down the chance to join the FA's Commission.
The Daily Mail says Gill, as chairman of the FA's professional game board, was asked to join the group to mirror the inclusion of his counterpart Roger Burden, chairman of the amateur national game.
But Manchester United director Gill, like Premier League chairman Anthony Fry, turned down Dyke's invitation and as a result gave the commission far less authority without any administrative representation from either the PL or one of its major clubs.
