Eddie Johnson is determined to get back to action for Portland Timbers after being sidelined with yet another concussion.
The 27-year old Englishman, not to be mistaken with the Seattle Sounders striker of the same name, was concussed at training in February making it the third similar incident in six months and putting some doubt on his playing future.
Johnson says he would love to be back as soon as possible but recent efforts to get back to training suggests he is still some way away.
"I tried to run on the treadmill the other day," he said. "But that didn't last long.""I desperately want to play," Johnson told The Oregonian. "But we'll see what happens.
Johnson, who started his career with Manchester United, last played for Portland in August last year after joining the club from Austin Aztex at the end of 2010.
