Ex-Man Utd boss Van Gaal sparks BVB anger: You're not big enough

Former Manchester United boss Louis van Gaal has upset many Borussia Dortmund fans with a swipe at their size.

Van Gaal had been mentioned as a replacement for Peter Bosz at BVB before they turned to Peter Stoger.

"I would not go there. Today I no longer have the time to turn a small club into a big one. Borussia Dortmund is not comparable to Bayern Munich," snapped Van Gaal.

Former BVB winger Kevin Grosskreutz was unimpressed by the Dutchman's swipe.

He hit back: "We also do not say that he has made the Netherlands a small team. Borussia Dortmund is a big club. Each damn weekend there are 80,000 people in the Westfalenstadion and screaming their throats out."
