Former Manchester United boss Louis van Gaal is in talks to return to Dutch football.

Van Gaal, reports De Telegraaf, is wanted by the KNVB as the association's new chairman.

"That is part of the restructure of the organization, but there must first be a coach found," said the former Ajax coach.

Asked if he could step in after the sacking of Danny Blind, LVG added: "If the KNVB asks me that, I will answer that."

And on Blind, he added: "He does have some fault, but the players the most, only that's never mentioned."
