Former Manchester United striker Robin van Persie is eager to learn Turkish as soon as possible.
Van Persie enjoyed a spectacular signing ceremony for Fenerbahce yesterday.
The Dutchman was introduced by Fener chief Giuliano Terraneo: "I want to greet you on behalf of president Aziz Yildirim. I'm happy to give our team more big star players."
Van Persie then said in Turkish: "Hello Fenerbahce!"
He went on: "I'll try as soon as possible to learn Turkish. Adapting to the country I think is very important. Now I'm a member of the Fenerbahce family.
"I will tell you something, I will do everything to help the team here. Win trophies, I will do everything to make you happy. Today, if it was possible, we would be champions with this atmosphere, I cannot imagine this.
"Thank-you Fenerbahce."
