Former Manchester United academy guru Eric Harrison denies Paul Scholes' return will upset the club's young midfielders.
Harrison is adamant that Scholes' decision to come out of retirement is not a slight on the quality coming through at the club.
He told the Manchester Evening News: "Those players have got to be patient. They are very talented young players and they will get runs out as substitutes.
"This saves a lot of money. I think he will play this season and another and it will solve a lot of problems for the club.
"In my opinion, if you've got Scholes, Carrick and Cleverley together in the engine room you wouldn't have to go out and pay a lot of money for someone else. That would be a world-class midfield.
"At times it's been too slow this season. It's not been as intense as it should be. But with the passing and movement of those three, it would be exceptional." "Scholes coming back is a big confidence boost for the team and the club. When he retired you thought they had to sign a world-class player because that's what he is.
