Leeds United manager Neil Warnock has indicated that Michael Brown is set to sign a one-year deal with the club.
The 35-year old midfielder has been at Elland Road since last summer and was set to sign a 12-month extension at the end of last season.
Brown returned to pre-season training without putting pen to a new contract but Warnock is confident a deal will be sorted soon.
"We've offered Michael another year and I think we'll start that from next month," he said of the former Portsmouth, Wigan Athletic, Fulham, Tottenham, Sheffield United and Manchester City man.
