Former Manchester City midfielder Stephen Ireland is in talks to move to the Bundesliga.

The Daily Mailsays Ireland is discussing a possible move to Germany.

The 31-year-old midfielder is a free agent after leaving Stoke City at the end of last season and has interest from a couple of Bundesliga clubs.

He is open to a move abroad but also has interest from English sides.

As a free agent Ireland can be signed outside the transfer window and clubs are weighing up a contract offer for the ex-Manchester City and Aston Villa star.
