Nigel de Jong insists AC Milan will turn their results around.

The former Manchester City midfielder has joined Milan amid their worst start to a season in almost 80 years.

"I'm always optimistic and that's why I'm here. Milan is always Milan and we have to go out to win and get results. The fans are our twelfth man and are important to us.

"I understand that it is hard to wait but the team is under construction," said De Jong.
