Stuart Pearce believes his former club Manchester City would be better suited to keep Manuel Pellegrini at the helm.
The Chilean tactician is being heavily linked with a premature departure from his role as Etihad Stadium boss but ex-City manager and defender Pearce feels that perhaps continuity with a few alterations is the best option for the reigning English champions.
"The club is at a stature now where they look to continually be in the Champions League and win Premier Leagues. The club will have a good look at themselves in the summer, but I'm not a big favour of turning managers over quickly," ex-England U21 and Nottingham Forest boss Pearce told talkSPORT.
"I hope the manager stays in place. He has been around the block long enough to realise the squad needs freshening up drastically this summer."
