Former Manchester City and Leicester City striker Paul Dickov is on trial with Toronto FC.
The 37-year old veteran has previously had a trial with the Reds but at the decided to remain in England but now it seems he is getting closer to a shift to Toronto.
"The last time I came here I was very close to signing, but decided at the time it was best to stay in the Championship in England," he told MLSnet.com.
"Obviously there is now a new manager so I have come out here for a few days to join in training and hopefully we can sort something out."
Dickov had a trial with English League One club Leeds United in late January where he was hoping to link up with his former Blackpool boss Simon Grayson and is now trying his luck with the aim of winning a MLS contract.
Dickov has served many clubs over his extensive career including Arsenal, Manchester City, Leicester City, Blackburn Rovers and Derby County and has also represented the Scottish national team on ten occasions.
