Former Manchester City and Norwich City defender Spencer Prior is making a comeback in Australia. Prior trained with the Jets today and is expected to be offered a short-term deal by coach Gary van Egmond.

"Spencer is an old pro," van Egmond told the Newcastle Herald. "We are bringing him in because I think we need to get some age in the team and some direction.

"Again it will be a case of seeing how he goes for the initial period of time and we will go from there."
