Former Manchester City coach Angelo Gregucci doesn't expect any surprises from Italy's World Cup opponents England.
The two nations meet tonight in their World Cup opener.
"Hodgson's team put a lot of emphasis on speed and play at a furious rate," Gregucci told Corriere di Bergamo. "They are young and can pass the ball, playing at a high intensity. But on a tactical level they will not spring any surprises.
"I'm sure they'll play vaguely a 4-4-2, with probably a single striker supported by an attacking midfielder. I think that will depend on Rooney, who isn't exactly enjoying the best form at the moment.
"Lampard and Gerrard have a lot of craft, but little dynamism, but England are very dangerous out wide.
"Sterling and Welbeck could hurt us, but I think this World Cup will be a lot like USA '94, with players' gasping for air towards the end."
