England legend Stuart Pearce says Ryan Giggs must speak with Jose Mourinho before making a final decision over his Manchester United future.

Pearce thinks Giggs shouldn't immediately look to jump ship before he's had time to discuss his position with Mourinho.

"Only a conversation between Ryan and Jose will sort that situation out," Pearce told the Daily Express.

"If Ryan gets the inclination that he's not wanted there, he's a big enough man, he'll move on and he'll look for work elsewhere.

"Whether that's a manager's job or a coaching role…"
