Former Manchester City and England U21 boss Stuart Pearce is keen on the Crystal Palace job.
Palace will this week consult Neil Warnock on who should succeed Ian Holloway, says the People.
Pearce has told the south Londoners he wants to return to management at Selhurst Park.
Co-chairman Steve Parish wants to talk to Warnock, who managed Palace for three years, and see whether he is interested before making an appointment.
