Sacked Manchester City boss Roberto Mancini is keen on a national team job for the 2014 World Cup.
The Italian, who is pondering his next move in management, fancies a spell in the dugout when the global football carnival kicks off in Sao Paulo next summer.
He said: "I want to soon get back on the bench.
"Maybe even with a national side for the World Cup Finals next year."
