Former Manchester City boss Mark Hughes is being linked with an immediate return to management.
The Welshman has been targeted by the Turkish Football Federation to take over as coach of their national team with moves already made to lure him to the post.
It is believed the federation are using former Blackburn Rovers midfielder Tugay to help get Hughes across the line, with the former Turkey international recently working alongside Hughes on City's coaching staff.
Turkey are hoping they can get a foreign boss to replace Fatih Terim who quit after failing to guide the team into the World Cup finals and the relationship between Hughes and Tugay - a national hero - could be the catalyst for a strong push.
