Ex-Man City boss Hughes eyeing Fulham job

Mark Hughes is ready to return to management.

The former Manchester City and Blackburn Rovers boss is in the frame to succeed Roy Hodgson at Fulham - should the experienced manager leave.

The People says Hughes, sacked by City last December, had been strongly linked with the Aston Villa job this summer but Martin O'Neill is staying at Villa Park after falling out of the running for the Liverpool post.

The Welshman also turned down a chance to take over at West Ham late last season.

But the former Wales and Blackburn boss is now ready for a return to management.
