Former Luton boss Kevin Blackwell has been appointed as a consultant by French giants Paris Saint Germain.

Blackwell - who is in the running for the vacant manager's position at Southampton - will advise the club on the benefits of adopting a long-term strategy.

PSG approached Blackwell due to his experiences at Luton and Leeds, who both fell into administration after failing to cope with crippling debts.
