Ex-Liverpool youth Bouzanis pens new Oldham contract

Dean Bouzanis has signed a new contract with Oldham Athletic.

The 21-year old Australian goalkeeper has put pen to a one-year deal with the Latics after emerging as the clubs number one late last season.

Oldham boss Paul Dickov was delighted to extend the stay of the former Liverpool trainee who took the reins from the injured Alex Cisak in March.

"When Dean came in it was on non-contract terms and he was not paid initially," Dickov told the club's official website.

"He worked hard and was rewarded with a deal until the end of the season.

"Dean had to wait patiently for his chance but, when it came, he seized it."
