Emile Heskey says Alessandro Del Piero is a great ambassador for the game in Australia.
The former Juventus striker and his Sydney FC teammates will meet ex-Liverpool forward Heskey and the Newcastle Jets on Saturday with the former England man singing the praises of the Italian World Cup-winner.
"He is a great player," Heskey said.
"He has achieved a lot over the years and is a great ambassador for the game so it is nice to have someone like that in football in Australia and he is working wonders."
Since arriving at their respective clubs from Europe, both Heskey and Del Piero have scored five goals as the Sky Blues and Jets sit bottom and sixth on the A-League table.
