Ex-Liverpool, Sunderland striker Cisse joins Lazio
Italian club Lazio have signed French striker Djibril Cisse from Greek outfit Panathinaikos.
The 29-year old former Liverpool, Sunderland, Auxerre and Marseille man enjoyed a prolific stint in Greece but will now play the next chapter of his career in Serie A after signing a deal believed to be worth £3.5million.
Lazio president Claudio Lotito confirmed the signing and said that Cisse was looking forward to producing for his new club.
"Lazio have great quality now and we hope to show this on the pitch,” he said.
"All the players have quality and Cisse is eager to show all of his will to do well on the pitch."
