Ex-Liverpool, Sunderland striker Cisse drops retirement plans

Former Liverpool and Sunderland striker Djibril Cisse is rethinking his retirement plans.

Currently with Bastia, Cisse stated in October that this would be his last season due to chronic hip problems.

But yesterday, he revealed to Telefoot: "I had hip problems that prevented me from playing my best. But I saw two friends, an osteopath and a mental coach, and they helped me feel better. I want to continue."

His Bastia deal expires in June and Cisse added: "Continue in France?

"No I do not think so, but why not an exotic country?"
