Former Liverpool and Real Madrid striker Michael Owen has ruled out coming out of retirement.

Owen will not be performing a U-turn on his decision to retire from football.

"My mind is pretty made up now," he told Gulf News.

"I've been thinking about it for a while and football is not as much fun when you've been able to do it at a real high standard and then suddenly you're finding it hard to reach those standards again. Your pride gets dented a little bit.

"I'm pretty sure it's all finished."
