Ex-Liverpool striker Heskey: Klopp safe no matter what happens

Former Liverpool striker Emile Heskey says Jurgen Klopp's job is safe this season.

Heskey believes Klopp won't be sacked if he fails to win a trophy this season - but he will be under pressure.

"I think he will be under a little bit of pressure if he doesn't win anything," Heskey told the Daily Star.

“At the end of the day, as a manager that's what it boils down to, winning trophies.

“I think he's got the backing of the club and I think the players feed into his philosophy and the way that he wants to play.

“I don't think it necessarily means that he will be sacked or anything like that but I'm guessing that he'll be desperate to win something."
