Djibril Cisse has revealed that he turned down a lucrative move to the Chinese Super League to join Italian Serie A outfit Lazio.
The 30-year old Frenchman departed Greek club Panathinaikos in the summer and has confirmed that a possible move to China was on the cards before he found his home at the Stadio Olimpico.
"I also received a crazy proposition from China over the summer. A side over there offered me 20million for a two-and-a-half-year contract. But it is too soon to move there," he told France Football.
"Sporting challenges still appeal to me. I will not leave for a faraway destination while I still have a chance of playing for France. I will not try anything exotic until that opportunity has gone.
"Moving back to France could happen, but there are only two clubs that appeal to me - Marseille and Auxerre."
