Ex-Liverpool striker Babel happy at Hoffenheim

Ryan Babel insists he is happy with the move he made to German club TSG Hoffenheim from Liverpool in January.

The 24-year old Dutchman ended a tough time at Anfield earlier this year to join the Bundesliga outfit for whom he has already scored three goals in five appearances this term.

He said that he has settled well at his new club and is confident that he is a better person and player for the move.

"I have been at Hoffenheim since January. The move in the winter was a quick one," he told Bild.

"I just had to leave negative things behind me. Now I have been able to have holidays as well as I had been able to participate in every session of training during pre-season.

"I am at a different standard now, both physically and mentally."

He added: "I can still improve. I have to be more selfish when in front of the goal. I may need to be like that to make a significant improvement.

"I can probably focus on that if the team is performing consistently. I am a team-player, I perform for the team.

"If I am scoring, it is great. But if we win and I have made two assists, I am happy."
