Former Liverpool and AS Roma wing-back John Arne Riise has signed for Cyprus' APOEL Nicosia.
The Norway international, 33, was being linked with Aston Villa and West Ham United after coming off contract at Fulham in June.
However, Riise has penned a two-year deal with APOEL.
One player looking forward to working with Riise at APOEL is former Manchester United defender Nick Ioannou.
Ioannou moved to APOEL over the summer after coming off contract at United and is similar in style to Riise. tribalfootball.com understands Ioannou is eager to learn from the former Liverpool star and was excited upon learning of Riise's signing.
