Former Liverpool midfielder Didi Hamann feels Manchester United striker Wayne Rooney has blown his career.
Hamann believes Rooney could've matched the heights of Real Madrid star Cristiano Ronaldo, but did not have the professionalism of his former United teammate.
"You have to live like a top player. If you want to be the best, you have to adapt your lifestyle," Hamann told Perform. "And if you want to party at the weekend and drink too much beer or wine, it could have a negative impact on your performance.
"That is in my eyes the big difference between Rooney and Ronaldo."
He added: "Ronaldo has eclipsed him, because he's been obsessed with getting better and worked hard."
