Former Liverpool star Robbie Fowler is being linked with a move to join Sydney FC. The 34-year old ex-England international will reportedly join the reigning A-League champions after the financial collapse of North Queensland Fury who he captained last season.
Fowler will replace fellow veteran John Aloisi who recently joined the Melbourne Heart in what will be a major coup for the sport in Sydney.
He scored 11 goals in 25 appearances for the Fury last term and was being linked with a player-coaching role at the club but this latest news indicates that he will be wearing the Sky Blues of Sydney FC in 2010/11.
