Ex- Liverpool star Collymore SHOCKED by Blatter comments: It's FRIGHTENING

Former Liverpool and Nottingham Forest star Stan Collymore was shocked by the remarks from FIFA president Sepp Blatter on racism.

Blatter, president of football's world governing body, has sparked controversy once again by insisting there is no racism in the game and calling for any on-field incidents to be settled by a handshake.

"To read these comments from the man that leads the world game is nothing short of frightening," said former England striker Collymore on talkSPORT.

"We have two high-profile cases at the moment of alleged racism that are being dealt with by the Football Association and the police and his timing and his comments are flippant, they are condescending and they take no account of what is really going on.

"The Football Association, the Football League, UEFA, every single county FA, if they don't come out now and make a statement condemning it, as far as I'm concerned they are implicit.

"This is a serious ongoing issue that needs to be dealt with and I'm disgusted and ashamed to be part of a game that Sepp Blatter currently heads up.

"This is not acceptable that a cancer that is in society is basically being accepted by the head of the one global sport."
