Gregory Vignal has departed Dundee United after a little more than two months with the club.

The 31-year old French defender arrived at Tannadice Park in mid-September but failed to make an appearance for Peter Houston's side.

Vignal, who has previously played for the likes of Liverpool, Rangers, Portsmouth, Lens, Southampton and Birmingham City, has had his contract mutually terminated for family reasons which was confirmed by the club on Monday.
