Gary McAllister says he is looking forward to again taking the reins at Aston Villa this weekend.
The former Liverpool midfielder was at the helm as Villa drew 1-1 with Stoke City on Saturday in Gerard Houllier's absence - the Frenchman being ill in hospital - and admits he is excited about getting the chance to do it all again.
Although he is hoping Houllier gets well soon, McAllister is looking forward to the challenge of West Bromwich Albion and Roy Hodgson at The Hawthorns this Saturday.
"My brief is just to carry on until I'm told otherwise. It's business as usual," he said.
"The fact is I'm a professional man. I know my job. And when the manager's not here, I'm the No.2.
"The big thing is that I trust Gerard completely and he trusts me.
"But now I'm looking forward to Albion on Saturday.
"It is a big game and I'm relishing going in against Roy Hodgson, who I like but want to get one over on."
