Blackpool young gun Thomas Ince has revealed that his famous father Paul is his biggest mentor and harshest critic.
The 20-year old winger has started the Championship season in brilliant fashion with four goals in four outings which prompted U21s boss Stuart Pearce to call him up for Thursday's European qualifier with Azerbaijan.
Ince says that he has been able to develop into a promising young player mainly due to the influence that former Manchester United and Liverpool star has had on his career.
"Of course, I couldn't have had a better mentor than my dad," he told FATV.
"I have my critics - he'll be the main one. I've had double guidance in everything I've done. He can help me off the pitch.
"I've got [Blackpool manager] Ian Holloway on the pitch and I've also got Stuart Pearce, the gaffer here, who's currently with me now.
"So I've got help from all angles and that can only benefit me in the long run."
